Samuel Lino and Erick Pulgar are August’s standout players by Betano
August brought individual recognition for two of the club’s athletes, with Samuel Lino and Erick Pulgar being chosen as the best in their respective categories in awards sponsored by Betano. The selection, made by the Flamengo fans, highlights the players’ importance in crucial moments and their strong performance throughout the season.
Player of the Month: Samuel Lino Shines and Thanks the Squad
Samuel Lino was crowned the Betano Player of the Month. The forward, who wears jersey number 16, won popular preference after a series of decisive performances.
Having completed 80 matches for the club, Lino boasts a record of 50 wins, 17 draws, and 13 losses, in addition to 18 goals and 21 assists.
His debut took place in July 2025, and since then, he has been a fundamental part of important achievements, such as the Copa Libertadores and the Campeonato Brasileiro in 2025, and the Campeonato Carioca in 2026.

Goal of the Month: Erick Pulgar Delights with a Stunning Strike
In the Goal of the Month category, Erick Pulgar came out on top. The Chilean defensive midfielder scored a spectacular goal in the 2-0 victory over Vitória on August 9th, at the Maracanã, during the 22nd round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
A precise shot into the top corner opened the scoring and secured the recognition. This was Pulgar‘s sixth goal wearing the club’s jersey.
With 176 matches played, the defensive midfielder has accumulated 111 wins, 39 draws, and 26 losses, along with six goals and nine assists.
His journey at the club, which began in August 2022, already includes two Libertadores titles, one Campeonato Brasileiro, one Copa do Brasil, three Campeonatos Cariocas, and one Supercopa do Brasil.
